Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Howard Wurzel, CPA has been the Chief Operating Officer of ProHealth and Fitness since June 2010.   He attended Binghamton University and graduated with a BS in Accounting in 1992.  He began his career at Deloitte & Touche specializing in auditing and analyzing financial statements for both private and public companies. In 1994 he became a Certified Public Accountant and  in 1997 he was promoted to Audit Manager.  His specialty at that time, was auditing media companies as well as private companies.   In 1998, he became Controller of one of his clients, which was in the top 200 private companies in New York City, and ultimately became the Chief Accounting Officer.  Howard met Dr. Nussbaum in 2006 after being referred to him for physical therapy.  Over the last 5 years he kept in contact with Dr. Nussbaum until he was hired in 2010.  Since his arrival, he has assisted in growing the organization, including opening up 3 additional locations.  He spends his free time with his wife, Jody and his son, Jason.
